Fight Night and Handsome and Wealthy are still going nuts in clubs, and now Migos are taking things to the next level, with a MOVIE. Called Bando (after their breakout street single), the Rik Cordero-directed flick essentially serves as an origin story for Quavo, Takeoff, and Offset, depicting their lives before fame, dealing drugs and robbing people, all culminating in getting their first shot on stage to perform their titular record. Along the way we get performances of tracks such as Migo Dreams, Birds, and Contraband.
I’m from Atlanta, and I have to say that for all of the Snow On Tha Bluff-esque films and music videos shots at housing projects, Cordero’s lense really shines a light on parts of my city that I have yet to really see, and allows me to see familiar things in a different light. Personally, I highly recommend this short.
