As we all know, Kanye West is a big reason Chief Keef is where he is today and now, Keef has confirmed that he will be featured on Kanye’s forthcoming album Yeezus. In the interview, Keef says he is on the album but did not remember the name of the record. This interview was conducted by EME after Keef launched his limited edition Beats By Dre headphones at the Beats store in New York City.
Yeezy season has officially arrived and the content has been pouring out in unique ways over the past couple days. After premiering Black Skinhead and New Slaves on SNL last night, Kanye gives us something to wake up to – the official artwork for his upcoming 6th studio album Yeezus. The artwork is exactly what you would expect from Kanye, very weird and controversial (since it looks like a face with hair blowing to the left and a face inside the hair). The LP is set to drop on June 18th.
Update: Here is the official album cover/casing. There is no cover or booklet. There will be a sticker on the reverse of the package with the tracklist.
Kanye West is the king of controversy and unusual antics when it comes to music and here is something else odd about his upcoming album Yeezus. According to A.P.C. founder Jean Touitou and the image he tweeted, the album will not be taking pre-orders. The poster-like image also encourages people to “please purchase” the album on June 18th. This strategy is similar to what Kanye and Jay-Z did with their Watch The Throne album, which did not leak. Another thing you may have noticed on the image is the a CD cover for the album. Interesting.
Kanye West was the musical guest on the season finale of Saturday Night Live tonight and gave two performances of new tracks from his forthcoming album. The first performance (above) is the debut of Black Skinhead and below is the performance of New Slaves. Kanye’s upcoming 6th studio album, Yeezus, will be hitting stores on June 18th.
The buzz surrounding Kanye West and his forthcoming album is unbelievable and now, with the album title and release date revealed, fans of Kanye and just Hip-Hop in general are highly anticipating it. Just moments ago, Rap-Up confirmed that the new album will be titled Yeezus (as rumored) and that it will be released on June 18h, hence Kanye’s (now deleted) tweet. Kanye will be on SNL tonight and is expected to perform some new material from the album. It’s officially Yeezy Season!
Kanye West did something very special and unique tonight, he premiered his new single New Slaves in visual form by projecting it on 66 buildings worldwide. One of those locations was Williamsburg, Brooklyn in New York and somebody was smart enough to record the full song for our listening/viewing pleasures. The Yeezy talk won’t be dying down anytime soon because he’s also performing on SNL tomorrow night.
At the Free Form Festival in Poland last night, DJ Hudson Mohawke played two exclusive, never before heard Kanye West records. There’s no confirmation on the titles or where these tracks will end up but they will likely end up on his upcoming album, due later this year. Another thing to note is that Kanye will be performing on SNL on May 18th.
We heard rumors about this last week, but now SNL has confirmed that Kanye West will be performing on the May 18th season finale of Saturday Night Live. The show will be hosted by Ben Affleck and Kanye is set to perform some brand new music.
As you may recall, when Kanye West signed D’Banj to G.O.O.D. Music back in 2011, there were rumors that Kanye West would be the guest feature on the Scapegoat remix. People lost hope in that rumor over a year ago but now the record has actually surfaced and it contains 2 never before heard Kanye verses.
Pusha T releases a brand new Kanye West-produced single entitled Numbers On The Boards that will land on his upcoming album My Name Is My Name. Look for the album to drop this summer.
