Lil Uzi Vert Scores First Gold Plaque with “Money Longer”

lil uzi vert 2016

2016 XXL Freshman and rising star Lil Uzi Vert has been killing it in 2016 and now has more than just YouTube views to show for it.

The 22-year-old Philadelphia artist has just received his first ever gold plaque from the RIAA, thanks to his viral single Money Longer.

Uzi burst onto the scene back in April when he released the Lil Uzi Vert Vs. The World mixtape, which absolutely blew up! This was also the tape that introduced us to Money Longer.

Uzi then went on to release another mixtape called The Perfect Luv, which proved that the up-and-coming artist was much more than a one-tape-wonder. It’s filled with bangers like Do What I Want, Seven Million (feat. Future) and many others.

Although he has many haters, which are mainly older hip-hop heads who dislike the direction hip-hop is going in, he has also built up a very solid, die-hard fan base. He’s here to stay.

Congrats to Lil Uzi Vert – I’m sure this is just the first plaque of many to come!
