Kendrick Lamar Reveals "To Pimp A Butterfly" Album Cover

Kendrick Lamar‘s highly anticipated sophomore album impacted the world in a major way last week, but does he have the first week sales numbers to back up the ridiculous surge it caused on social media? Let’s see.

In its first week, Kendrick’s To Pimp A Butterfly sold a total of 355,372 copies. That number includes streams, which played a major factor in the way the album rolled out.

That number was enough to place Kendrick atop the Billboard charts, followed by albums like the Empire Soundtrack, Taylor Swift’s 1989 and Drake’s IYRTITL. Check out the full list of sales this week on HDD.

Congrats to Kendrick and the TDE team!
